I emailed you and then found your blog. I’d like to add my two cents worth here.
I’m a 67 year old woman, so bit off a bit more than I could chew with the original configuration of the machine. I Supreme Pilates, but found the springs too hard for me because of shoulder injuries, and also kept hurting my hips using the long springs.
I replaced the springs with Theraband tubes and have worked up from yellow through green, red, blue and now black. I’m getting great results. Had to buy a bunch more of those hooks from the hardware store, and experiment to find the right length. I get great results.
I’m looking forward to more DVD’s and I figure I’ll be able to use the springs before too long, but it’s more important to have the right form and avoid injury. Using the tubes, I think this piece of equipment is safe for anyone.
So glad I found this site! I recently started back with Supreme Pilates (after a few years off). I love these work out and I am thrilled that there are more Dvd’s AND new springs. Hooray!
